It is no secret that Pinterest is the fastest growing social media site this year. The average time spent on the site by users is over 90 mins. Getting your creative business on Pinterest is must, but just being there is only a small part of the battle. Knowing and understanding how Pinterest works for your business is the next step.
There are 3 major steps you can take right now to boost your traffic and increase your sales from Pinterest.
The Pinterest Creative Connection
Each week Handmadeology hosts The Pinterest Creative Connection, where creative business owners can come and post their links and connect with other like minded business owners.
You can read all about it HERE.
As you can see so far this picture has 218 comments, 176 likes and 192 repins. My traffic from Pinterest skyrocketed in the days when this was going down.
Tips for engaging your followers, fans, and customers.
1. Create a call to action and hold the conversation on Pinterest
2. Ask your fans to like, and repin your pin.
3. When you are engaging with your followers use the @ symbol in front of their name and they will be notified.
4. Share your actual pin all over. Tweet it, share it on Facebook , and bookmark it. The more you do the more exposure your pins will get.
5. Always have a link to your site in the text of your pin. The picture will link back to your site, but adding one more clickable link will only help increase your traffic.
