Etsy Records Its Highest Day In Sales – Cyber Monday Etsy Stats

Reports say that online sales during Cyber Monday were up 15 to 30% .  Online traffic was up by  43% on Cyber Monday. 

Etsy recorded their highest day in sales to date on Cyber Monday.  Etsy saw over 15 million visitors between Black Friday and Cyber Monday.  The introduction of the new Etsy App helped push traffic from mobile devices to a 350% increase from 2010.

On Monday, November 28, 2011, Etsy sellers sold a record amount of goods, resulting in a single-day sales record for the community. Today, the community is on track to meet that number again, and we expect that more days will top the charts before the end of the year. We’re excited about this growth because it reflects the success of hundreds of thousands of businesses run by real people. In fact, the number of shops with sales on Cyber Monday increased by 61 percent compared to last year, and average sales per shop increased 11 percent.

    My little shop last year did $100 for December.
    This year .. wait let me back up.. this weekend started out very slow, from Saturday afternoon, to now.. I am running crazy with $2000 + in sales.

    My sales were definitely up for Cyber Monday. Not for Black Friday, though. But I was very happy with my Cyber Monday sales! It was hard work making sure tags and everything were in place, but it was worth it. I did better than the year before. And I know a couple things I’ll do differently next year for hopefully even more sales!

    I had a lot more views all weekend. Black Friday was not that great, but Monday was a good day. I did not have anything listed last year. I am smiling on my way to the post office today!

    I spent hours updating my tags, changing pictures, changing my titles hoping for more searchable info etc, all in preparing for black friday and cyber monday. What a waste of time! Had only a couple sales-Last year I was SWAMPED! Really wonder if all these fancy changes are really worth it. Go figure…

    I offered free shipping from Black Friday through Cyber Monday. Black Friday was a bust, Saturday and Sunday were about average, but Cyber Monday my sales were about 3 times higher than average. My sales for November are up by almost 20% compared to last year.

    I ran a crazy 30% sale for Cyber Monday. Didn’t do too hot with sales. Got 2 though. A sale is a sale though so I’m happy about it.

    Last year was a bust, this year was better. Not significantly better, but still better. Megan is right; a sale is a sale!

    Last year I had 1 sale on Black Friday. This year I had 12! By the end of Cyber Monday I had about 14 sales. Black Friday was the big day for me.

    well I sell better at a craft show for 5 hours around $200
