This looks like a good idea, I will have to think about it a while and set a budget, thanks.

I signed up two items for $2, for one week. I was unhappy with the keywords. For example: my paper flower has keywords that go with gift wrapping but not with wedding decoration. Another thought: would it have been better to sign up my entire shop for $2?

The keywords and prices are very close to what Facebook Ads looked like. I used FB Ads for awhile, and while I got some traffic, I never got a sale. At least if people are on Etsy, the likelihood they’re in a shopping mood is greater! I have to wait 5 more days before my Etsy ads go live, but I’m feeling fairly confident about it. I went with the lowest budget based on my keywords and included the entire store, and will happily increase my budget should sales increase. A risk worth taking, in my view.

I will definitely give this a try. Just learned from mechanic my car needs over
$1,000.00 worth of work in the next few
weeks. Will ad this the first of next month,

I’m not impressed with the options Etsy is giving us with this plan…pay per click makes way more sense tha pay per impression-just think of the huge numbers of us checking to see where we are in the relevancy search. I plan to stick with the very good advice in your relevancy strategy and skip the ads unless they offer a pay per click option.

This is great information, I love being able to see all the keywords and their costs! I did sign up to give I a try, but I definitely agree that pay per clicks is preferable, maybe someday they’ll implement that.

Aaarrggghhhh… there is a big difference between clicks (aka views…hopefully) and ‘impressions.’ If you have a Facebook business/fan page, you will notice that there is an impressions tally about 24 hours after you have posted something. Go ask them what impressions are!
This adword extravaganza sounds more bogus by the minute.
