Etsy has just announced that sellers can now edit expired listings before you renew them. Here is the official announcement: Etsy Forum Thread

When a listing expired, there was no way to edit it before renewing. We know this frustrated many sellers who wanted to update their listing and make sure it was perfect before renewing.
I’m happy to report this is no longer the case. We just released the ability to edit expired listings before you renew them.

Hurray for etsy! This new option will give etsy a smoother more sophisticated tool. I like how the etsy group keeps making things better!

Sounds like I’m fortunate I didn’t know any different. Having joined Etsy on September 8, the first of my items have just come up for renewal and I sailed through editing them before relisting oblivious to the fact it was a new feature. Hooray anyway!
