Pinterest gets it’s first makeover today. Go check out your profile!  Larger pictures and actual numbers telling you how many pin are in each board.

Earlier this week Pinterest’s CEO and co-founder, Ben Silbermann,  said there would  be a redesign coming to the platform soon , but it came soonner than expected.

  1. I’m not loving the new layout, nor hating it…Some of the coding kinks are what’s keeping me from falling in love with it…

  2. It was quite a surprise to suddenly see Pinterest’s new ‘facelift’ yesterday, but my immediate impression was ‘Oh yes, I like this’!

  3. I’m not fond of the new layout, especially the looks of my boards. I used to love the display and splash of beautiful colours I would see on my boards and the instant visual that I loved. Now the big photo on each board is not necessarily my favourite and I don’t think there’s a way to shift that around. The boards are just not as impressive to look at that’s all. I like the idea of the header in this new format.

  4. I feel a little betrayed! :P haha the joy of Pinterest to me was getting to see such a large spread of beautiful images at a time. The new layout reduces the number of images you see on the screen and only highlights the latest pin, which isn’t necessarily the best one ): I had a few users (especially http://www.pinterest.com/everythingetsy ) where I would have their main page open in one of my tabs all the time for inspiration and general enjoyment. I really wish there was an option to go back to the old layout! D:

  5. I’d rather have smaller images for a larger overview of my boards and the pinners I’m following. It’s cool to see how many pins and followers my boards are getting though!

I’m with Alyssa on this one! I think they’ve made a big mistake with that.

  7. I may get used to it, but I liked, like most of the commentors here, seeing entire boards, rather than the one large photo & the tiny thumbnails underneath. It would be great if we could choose which photo displays as the large one, rather than the default, most recent pin…
