Handmadeology Helps Meylah Improve Store Owner Experience With New Features

Since the launch of the Handmadeology Market back in January, I have been working closely with Meylah to improve the store owners experience.  Listening to what the HM community needed and knowing what customers want, Meylah just released 3 new tools that will help sellers increase their traffic, sales, and targeted lead generation.

Google Analytics

The fist feature that store owners are going to love is the integration of Google Analytics.   Now store owners can track all the traffic that is coming in to their store.  They can see the how well their promotional and marketing efforts are working.   Installing Google Analytics is simple and will start working right away!

Not only can store owners track their traffic, now market place owners have the same capability.    Market place owners can see what stores are bringing in the most traffic and where the traffic is coming from.

Lead Capture / News Letter Tool

The second feature is the lead generator / news letter tool.  Store owners can now capture leads from giving away a digital download in their shop.  By driving traffic to your free download you will be generating an optin email list that you  can import into any email provider.  Grow a highly targeted list that you sell your products to.  Amazing!

I have tested this amazing feature and you can see my results below.  In just a few days I have generated over 30 targeted emails that I can now import into my email provider.  Here is the FREE listing that I am using right now to capture my leads:  Facebook Graph Search Checklist

Social Media Sharing

We all know how important social media is when it comes to spreading the word about our products.   Now on every product and blog post you will notice the three important social media sharing buttons, Facebook , Twitter, and Pinterst.

What the Handmadeology community is saying about the new market:

I currently sell on Etsy but I’m not happy with the number of re-sellers passing mass produced items off as handmade. I’m really interested in finding a venue that offers the customer confidence in purchasing “handmade”, a venue that’s well managed with the Artisan in mind.

I love Handmadeology AND Meylah. With their powers combined we’ll be unstoppable! :)

I’m looking for another avenue to sell my handmade jewelry. I’ve been a Meylah newsletter subscriber for a while now, and this seems like a great marketplace; one where I fully believe my products would be a great fit. Thank you for the opportunity!

I have been a Etsy seller for three years and want to increase my presence online. I have been impressed with Handmadeology and wanted to give Meylah a shot.

I wish to try a new selling site for my items, and have followed Handmadeology for many months. I appreciate all they do for sellers.

I am always looking for new places to sell that respect and honor quality handmade goods.

I run a handmade business, and it would be an honor to be a partner with such a well-known name!

  1. All I can say is that these are awesome new features! I have open my store with Handmadeology Market and Meylah a few months ago and now with these features it will be great to see how my shop is really doing! It is also great to be able to list in 2 different marketplaces at once, plus your own if you choose to have one, and safe time! I am looking forward to go check these features out! Thanks, Tim!

  2. I have MP3′s for sale on Meylah, but there is no way for a customer to listen to the tune b-4 purchasing. Any thoughts about offering a ‘listening’ tool before purchasing? Otherwise, my customer must be willing to be sent to MySpace to listen, then return to Meylah to purchase. I’m afraid it is too many clicks to keep the customer interested.
