Quickly Add Any Etsy Treasury To Your Blog Or Webpage
For way to long the Etsy community has been taking screen shots of Etsy treasuries to show them off on our blogs. Martin from Whale Shark Websites has made our lives so much easier! He has created a very simple tool that allows you to place any Etsy treasury on a blog or webpage. You will notice that everything that is clickable in an Etsy treasury is clickable on this Etsy Treasury Blog version.
Here is a treasury I picked to show off this new tool!

About The Author

Thank you for sharing this. I am behind on my weekly treasury feature. Now it will be easier to do it. Thanks!
You bet!!! Enjoy!
Fantastic! This will look so much better on my blog compared to how I was doing it before. A very helpful and much needed tool!
For sure!
Thanks for the nice write up! Your instructions here are much better than the ones I wrote – I will add a link to them on the tool page.
Oh Martin you are very welcome! Thanks for seeing a need and creating a fix for it!!
This is amazing! Thank you for sharing!
Great! Love the fact that it’s clickable. Thanks so much for giving a head’s up on a wonderfully useful tool.
Yeah me too.. no more putting links to the items under the screen shot.
Thank you! I’ll give it a try.
You’ve solved a major dilemma for those of us working on laptop ! Not having the ability to capture an entire screen shot in past and having to resort to cutting and pasting,…, has been hellish.
Ahh! for the simple things in life. Thank you for presenting us with this great application.
I hear yeah on that one!! Enjoy!
Tim – thanks for bringing this to our attention. I just created the code for a Treasury of mine and easily added it to my WordPress.com blog: http://folknfiber.wordpress.com/2010/09/03/a-perfect-autumn-day-whats-yours/
You bet Sally! I love the treasury you added to your blog.. it fits perfectly!
Thanks for the tutorial, now I have a more effective way of putting treasuries on my blog. I didn’t have a tool for this before, so I just had to add one item at a time. Now I just have to create some actual treasuries…
I love this new tool! Put up a purple pumpkin treasury yesterday and then told my etsy team members about it. I sent them a link to this page which walks them through it so easy. Thank you!!
This is totally fabulous! I post my treasuries on my blog and we post team treasuries on our team blog. This will make things so much easier! A big thanks to Martin for creating the tool and to Tim for explaining it so simply!
Thanks so much for sharing, I just did a search for how to share a treasury on my blog and here is a link to just what I needed, and it’s so easy!
I know this was posted a while back, but I just used it today. This tool is awesome and so easy to use. Thanks for posting it and thanks to Whale Shark Websites for sharing it with us.
It is so great to finally have this type of tool. I quit posting my treasuries (and those I was featured in) on my blog because of the non-clickable issue…this is super.
OMG Thank you thank thank you!!! I was wracking my brains trying to fgiure out how to do this. Thx!
Finally!!! This is the easiest I’ve found! Thanks so much!
When I try to paste the code into my HTML, I get this error message: “Invalid variable declaration in page skin: The skin variables could not be parsed as they are not well-formed. Input:”
What can I do?
i am not the most computer savy person but even I was able to master these instructions. I have blogged about my treasury on UK handmade
http://ukhandmade.ning.com/profiles/blogs/treasury-on-etsy
Thank you so much for this
I have tried to use this tool with the code from several different treasuries but keep getting the message “unknown file extensions…” Help! What am I doing wrong?
Okay… I worked it out. My mistake… sorry
GREAT info!!! Thanks for sharing this.
I can’t wait to try this out! Thank you for sharing!
It’s onerous to search out educated people on this topic, but you sound like you recognize what you’re talking about! Thanks
Thank you for posting this. I always refer to it when I have to post a treasury on my blog! Excellent info! xx!
Sure thing!
So easy even an internet virgin such as myself used it successfully! Thanks!
Thank you so much for sharing this, I saw it on someones blog and wanted to know how to do it for myself.
i have problem in adding the treasury list in my blog post. can you help me?
there is a wide gap between the title and the lists/ pictures.
is there a way to change/ reduce the gap?
thanks
wonderful, thanks a lot.
here it is my blog post where i just included the last treasury i was featured in, with this method.
i love it!
Love this! It is so easy to play around with the settings to adjust the fit for my blog! I am fortunate that I have recently had a couple of different patterns featured in Treasuries and I was trying to figure out a way to share them on my blog. Thank you, Martin, and thank you, Tim, for sharing
Yeah! More tools to use!

simply fabulous! what would we do without your guys! Just ordered your book from Amazon. Looking forward to it.
This is fantastic!
Seriously, I am spending way too much time on my computer and a lot of the time it’s because of all of your useful information! Speaking of spending too much time on-line, I’m about to sign up for hootsuit thanks to another one of your recent posts, “how to spend less time marketing your Etsy shop”.
Thanks again!
Hurray! I just did this, and its so easy! Thank you!!!!!!!
Great idea. Now we just need to get that blog set up….:)
I LOVE this new tool!
Check this out:

Thanks for explaining this in such easy-to-understand detail with pictures.
Can’t wait to try it!
Yay, thanks for this post…I did it, check it out here http://tealwaterdesigns.blogspot.com/2011/05/friday-finds-on-etsy-matryoshka.html
I found this really easy to use but I hit a problem when I went to preview, no matter if I reduce to tiny it bleeds over the edge of my post. I did notice that the code seems very large when I added it. Do you think this is could be the problem.
Try making it 3 columns..
I did try the 3 columns Tim but it looks odd with the last item all on it’s own and looks like it’s unfinished. I think it could be my blog layout.
Now we need an open source developer to create a convo for the blog that doesn’t use Etsy conversations.
Since I like to create multiple treasuries at once, my convos, after the first automatically tag me as a spammer. Then Etsy disables my communication function which extends to my conversations with buyers. I cannot put my ability to communicate with buyers at risk in order to communicate with other sellers>
I was recently selected for Etsy Treasury Hunter 2 days in a row. By sending notice to 32 sellers that they are featured on Etsy Treasury Hunter, I risk having my ability to communicate with buyers and sellers disabled on Etsy,
I have spoken to Etsy management about this and their solution is that I use the time consuming process of contacting sellers individually by email. They can do “nothing” about their automated process designed to save their time and protect us all from spammers sending a mass mailing of 32 identical messages.
I think it would cost us less time to deal with those marked by Etsy as spammers, real or not< then to devise ways of communicating with one another without putting our ability to communicate with buyers at risk.
If there is such an app already. Please post here. It might work to adapt the current ap so that it changes each email in a sequence by a number or phrase-so that it will not be automatically detected as "spam" by Etsy's auto responders.
For the time being I post my treasuries and any publications of those treasuries on my Facebook Page
https://www.facebook.com/pages/East-Boothbay-ME/Andersen-Studio-Stoneware-Ceramics/20497540
I just created my blog- which so far has only a title – The Art Of The Etsy Treasury. I expect to have some content up very soon.
thanks so much for your help!
wow, this is a great tool. I am guilty of the screen shots…
Thank you so much for posting this, it really helped me out!

What a delight!
This is brilliant – thank you so much for creating and posting!!!
Hi Tim
I have managed to do treasuries like this a couple of times and it works a treat.I have now made a private treasury (all my own items)as I wanted to add it to my blog under a stand alone page, but I can’t get the code as it comes up with error on page. Do you happen to know if this is because I made it private to me? Can’t think of any other way to do this so would be grateful for any help you might have. Thanks in advance
Ooh, I’m a bit behind with this new tool but I love it – thanks for the update!
oh you will love it Deb!
Wow! this is like a godsend! Thank you, Martin and Tim!
Sounds like a great tool. Newbie question here – is there a way to do the same thing with a shop as opposed to a Treasury?
Just make a treasury with all of your own items.
Thanks for the tutorial!
I use this for my blogs and facebook page. I love it!
Fabulous, thank you! I wanted to start doing a weekly treasury post on my blog, and now I’ll be able to lay it all out beautifully.
Nice & simple! It really hasn’t been easy to do this, until now. I’ve been sharing individual listings from other sellers, maybe 6 at a time, now I can share whole treasuries. Thanks for the info.
That is super crazy handy! Thank you for sharing!
Been wanting this info…thanks for sharing!
Thank you very much! This is brilliant!
Thank you so much for this tool!! Best thing EVAR!!!
Fantastic! Amazing! Magic!
Here is my first use of it.
http://madamesaslow.wordpress.com/2012/03/20/treasury-tuesday/
This worked perfectly – thank you!
amazing thank you!
wow, this really works slick! I made my first Etsy treasury today and was able to post it to my blog immediately with this tips. Thank you, thank you!
Hi, thank you for this tips. It is very useful! I used it and it worked. I wrote about it in my blog. However, it seems that it capitalized all of the Etsy decriptions on my blog. Do you know how to fix this? So they don’t show up capitalized. See the problem here: http://fabteez.blogspot.com/2012/11/fabtipz-post-etsy-treasury-list-on-your.html
Any help will be greatly appreciated!
Thank you!
thanks..nice articel
