Spotlight Feature : IslandTop Designs

Hi, Paula Mullikin here, I have been told that my tags are like little works of art.  My passion for making pet tags came from the love I have for my pets.  I came home one day from a jewelry metal smith class and decided to make my dogs some tags. I shared those tags with friends on facebook and started getting requests for special designs for their dog’s tag. It is wonderful to see the love people have for their pets and how they show it with the requests I receive. I sell my tags on my website IslandTop Designs and my Etsy shop, IslandTop Custom Tags.   My tags have been featured in Southern Living and Modern Dog magazines.

I am very fortunate to be able to work out of my home studio in Lake Lure, NC. It is wonderful to be able to go to work with my 3 dogs, Homer, Katie and Brody.  I also share my studio with two very chatty birds and a lazy cat Samantha.

At my website you will see tags for the small, the extra large and all the in between sized dogs, Oh and we can’t forget the cats.  My tags are made with mixed metals copper, brass and nickel and the tags are finished with a high shine polish.  I feel that every pet deserves a little bling. Once on my website you can see photos of all my pet fans, and a links to my blog “Life on the Island” and Facebook fan page where you can see more about  me , my family, fans and the bling I make .
