The jewelry supply shops on Etsy are fantastic, I have spent more time than I care to admit perusing their pages in admiration at the variety and creativity they inspire, Thank you to all of them for providing wonderful items for jewelers

I love the Etsy Supply Shops. I only buy my supplies from Etsy shop owners, (I see some of my favorites listed here) I have always had perfect customer service and the quality has always been GREAT!

That’s what I ws wondering Are the tip sellers all supplies?
Although there is a preponderance of jewelry sellers on Etsy which account for an enormous amount of revenue for the company (while not being represented in a balanced way on the main page etc…oh well!), the biggest seller as well as money generator for Etsy is SUPPLIES. If you look in the Time Machine, you will notice that just about every other item which is sold is some sort of supply…not just jewelry supplies. Are supplies given much of any air time in treasuries or, heaven forbid, given exposure on the main page. No! Why? It would be too much like the truth of the radical imbalances of what actually *sells* on Etsy and who is in second place as far as keeping the ship afloat. My message to Etsy is this: give your main money makers-supplies and jewelry shops-front page places when someone comes to the site to shop. Sure, there are busy vintage shops, photographers and knitters, but if you know which side of your bread is buttered you should give those entities a front row seat when it comes to trending, promoting, and representing.
Amen. It is Sunday.
Then again, if most sellers on etsy are the buyers of the supplies, why promote, It’s got built in marketability. Not to say ignore it, but your idea customer is coming right for ya. Lucky you.
As I manage a vintage sewing supply shop for a friend, yes, it would be nice for her to make it to the front page.

I think it is easy to make a lot of sale when you are a jewelry supplier. Look at all the jewelry artisans on Etsy. It is a built in market.
I also would like to see the top “Handmade” sellers. Even though Etsy has a lot of very nice “suppliers”. These suppliers have very nice items.
I’m not sure if the fact that the top 16 sellers are jewelry supplies is interesting or sad. On the on hand: makers are buying things to make. On the other hand, makers are not the top sellers.

Not surprised at all. Would love to see the top sellers of handmade work.
Well, it makes sense that the top # of sales would be suppliers, since their items are generally less expensive and people often buy multiples while they’re shopping.
I’d be interested to see the Top 16 grossing sellers on Etsy – although many would still be suppliers I’m sure there would be some handmade there!
The first thing I notice is how clear and bright the pictures are. I have read and tried so many ways and can’t get that crisp bright look.
