Why Do You Create? – For My Sweet Daughter
For My Sweet Daughter
I have always created. When I was younger I would make clothes for our Barbie dolls out of socks and glitter paint. In high school I loved oil pastels, in college it was photography and graphic design. I am a nail technician so I get to create beautiful art on my clients nails but found jewelry making about 7 years ago and have loved it ever since. My style has evolved and I fall in love with new materials and techniques almost daily.
I was forced to take a year off from jewelry making due to a difficult pregnancy. After my beautiful daughter was born I became even more filled with inspiration and a desire to share my jewelry with others. Each piece I make is inspired and I love when a piece speaks to someone. To see their face light up is a blessing.
I create because for me it is an outward expression of my inner feelings and to bring these feelings of love, light and inspiration to other women is truly a blessing and gift.
